Author

Passionate about reclaiming the literary genius of the Bible, Elisabeta Karp is dedicated to helping believers balance biblical faithfulness with a fearless excavation of the literary aspects of the sacred Scriptures. Her writings also aim to bridge the gap between the academic and the devotional, the mind and the heart.

Elisabeta holds a Master of Divinity in Messianic Jewish Studies from Biola University (2019), a Master of Arts in Philosophy of Religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (2016), and is pursuing a PhD. She has been teaching and preaching for years and travels often to speak in churches and conferences. Finally, she and her husband, Zachariah, love traveling, excellent cuisine, and chasing/cuddling their winsome toddler.

Elisabeta enjoys deepening believers’ faith by making key connections between the Old and New Testaments and revealing the Jewish context of the Bible, Jesus, and the Christian faith. She is also deeply passionate about biblical meditation and spiritual formation.

Besides nonfiction, Elisabeta believes in using the compelling power of story to educate, inspire, and build bridges of reconciliation. She has written the first half of a fiction novel about a Messianic Jewish girl and her Orthodox Jewish classmate discovering friendship to be a redeeming balm on the historic scars of their rival religions.
